About 2 months ago, I got a random phone call from Los Angeles, California. I don’t pick up the phone when I don’t recognize the caller, so it went to voicemail. When I finally listened to the message about 3 hours later, I learned that I had been head-hunted to be a part of a vendor showcase event featuring all independent Chicago artists!!! I thought about it for about 4 seconds and decided to say, “YASS!!!”

Wait, so what is this?
This is your official invitation to attend the art show I am participating in, officially called RAW: Chicago presents TREND Artist Showcase. I would love to see you there, and it promises to be an exciting and fun night!
From the event website, here is what you can expect:
“You’ll experience an independent film screening (usually a short, webisode or music video), a pop-up gallery featuring several independent visual artists and photographers, fashion shows from up-and-coming local designers, live musical performances, vendor booths featuring local artisans and accessories designers, and live performance art. You’ll get a little taste of everything. Combine all this creativity with drinks, fun, and good company!”
And why should you buy a $20 ticket? Oh, I have reasons:
• You will be entered into a drawing to win any print of your choice from my Etsy store
• You will also receive a FREE “You Make Me So Hoppy” print (see picture below)
• I will owe you $20 worth of beer and hugs, and the hugs come free
• There will be beer on tap. Yes, this is a 21+ event.
Buy your ticket here!
I’ve also been working on some new products that I will be launching exclusively at the RAW showcase event. Here’s a small sneak peak of what I’ve been making:
Top: 2017 Beer Calendar
Bottom: You Make Me So Hoppy Print (Get one FREE when you buy a ticket to the event!)
Not Pictured: More surprises at the show! 😀
Even if you cannot attend in person, you can sponsor me by buying a $20 ticket to the event. Vendor shows like this one typically charge an artist admission fee of some kind, but RAW asks instead that entrants sell 20 tickets by May 11th to avoid this fee. So please (pretty please 😀 ), consider purchasing a ticket!
And so, for the past 2 months, I have been preparing for this show; creating a vendor display booth design, brainstorming new products to showcase, working on new marketing materials, figuring out how to use one of those credit-card-swipey-thingies that plug into your phone. Basically, I have been thinking about this show non-stop, and as a result I have put the blog on the back burner for the last few weeks. (Don’t worry–as the show approaches, this will change and I will return to posting on a regular basis.)
I am so excited for my very first vendor show! Wish me luck, and I hope to see you there!
