Yes, it’s true! In just a couple of weeks, I’ll be launching an Etsy store just in time for Chicago Craft Beer Week. I’ve been working for the last month to make my little dream of selling prints of my illustrations a reality and will have my online store up and running on Thursday, May 14th!*
So now that we’re two weeks out from Chicago Craft Beer Week (May 14th–24th), I am sure some of you have already started clutching your liver, grasping your knees, and are rocking back in forth in a human ball of silly stress over which events you’ll attend. “There are so many!” “It’s overwhelming!” Well fear not, because our friends over at Hail to the Ale have gathered a list of recommended events to attend, including a few from yours truly, to help alleviate the deep, deep burden of choice. You can check that out here.
Now–back to the Etsy news–I say I’ve been working on it for a month, but I’ve honestly wanted to host an Etsy store for almost five years. It’s only been over the course of the last year that I realized what the subject matter could, and should be. This store will bring together two of my passions (you already know–illustration and craft beer), and I am very excited to just get it up and running. Even if I sell nothing, and continue to make beer drawings and only share them digitally via the blog this store’s launch will mark a really big (mental) hurdle for me.
Wait … are those … tears?!
I know you’re full of empathetic emotion for me, but it’s really not a big deal!
Ok, it is a big deal to me, but please stop crying. Yes, OK, quiet sniffling is fine.
Anyway, thanks for reading and perhaps sharing in my excitement and happy tears. I’ll post again soon with more specific details! Cheers!
*Sometimes, I invite guests over just to force myself to clean up the house. This promise is kind of like that one–I know I can meet that deadline, but now I’ve just published it, so the pressure is ON. OK, Gotta go work on the store! #CCBW is coming!
